Man’s ‘Ghost Camera’ Films His Girlfriend and Son Having Sex

May 23rd, 2013 No comments

We here at The Occult Section love coming across stories like this one. You can’t make this stuff up, people. A man in Australia set up a hidden camera in his home, allegedly to film some paranormal activity that he suspected was going on. Instead, he filmed his girlfriend banging his 16-year old son. Very creepy evidence, just not of the kind he wanted.

"The ghost made me do it, dad!"

“The ghost made me do it, dad!”

A man in Tasmania hoping to capture evidence of ghosts in his home discovered something else going bump in the night: His girlfriend having sex with his 16-year-old son from a previous marriage.

What started out as ghost-busting has turned into marriage-busting. The 28-year-old woman pleaded guilty to five counts of having sexual intercourse with a minor in Tasmania’s Supreme Court on Monday, News.com.au reported.

The incident came to light in October 2012, when the boy’s father set up a video camera to capture what he believed was paranormal activity in the house. Instead, it documented his son and the woman kissing and cuddling, the Tasmania Mercury reported.

Police questioned the woman after the incident and the boy moved away from the couple. However, it was revealed during court proceedings that the woman travelled to see him and had sex with him during a six-day at a hotel, Yahoo Australia reported.

The woman — who has reportedly been dating the boy’s father for 11 years — told the court she thought the age of consent in Australia was 16. It is actually 17, and she told the court she was ”ashamed and embarrassed” by her conduct, the New York Daily News reported.

The case is arousing the interest of paranormal investigators like Alexandra Holzer, who said the man’s attempt to capture paranormal activity might have been a cover for suspicions about his girlfriend.

“Maybe he used [the paranormal investigation] as an excuse because he thought something was up,” she told The Huffington Post. “Or maybe he thought it was really a ghost.”

She has another theory: the ghost that inspired the father’s initial investigation may have been what influenced the woman and teen to get it on.

“Maybe the ghost in question in their home brought this on? Maybe there was an invisible negative presence egging on the sexual desires?” Holzer said.

Ben Radford, a science-based paranormal investigator suspects that as more and more people use hidden cameras, the number of cases involving electronic evidence of adultery is likely to increase.

Radford wishes there was more information on what kind of paranormal activity the man thought was happening.

“It seems likely it was suspected poltergeist activity, which would typically include cabinet doors opening and closing, or dishes flying into the air,” Radford told HuffPost. “Presumably if that had happened — and the man had captured it on video — then the news story would have been about that!”

I think trying to blame the incest on the ghost’s “influence” is really stretching it there. It’s probably more a case of a boy raging with puberty and a woman quickly approaching her sexual prime just being horny. Nothing paranormal about that. Though her excuse for thinking the legal age of consent was 16 is a great attempt on her part to finagle out of it. Like, he’s still your stepson…

Bigfoot Caught on Video in Ohio

August 27th, 2012 2 comments

Sometimes when paranormal evidence is presented, the best way to tell if it is real or faked is to look at things besides what is claiming to have been captured.  In the past I’ve presented supposed UFO/Bigfoot footage where the cameraman has been completely calm and quiet during the encounter. There is a similar absence of any sort of exclamation of surprise in this alleged video of Bigfoot. I also question “evidence” like this when there is no information about the person behind the camera, or when the video was taken, or exactly where it was taken, or…well, you get the picture. Oh, and also, the Bigfoot looks ridiculously fake.

Bigfoot video from Grand River, Ohio

Run, Bigroot, run!

Is Bigfoot stalking the wooded areas of Ohio?

A video is making the Internet rounds that claims to show a large, dark, hairy creature running across a forest path.

So far, the only information that’s given is that the video was shot in April 2012 in the Grand River area of northeast Ohio.

The video, posted to YouTube byHowTo101Channel, appears to have been taken from the front of a motorized bike or scooter while it was moving along a path in a forest. Suddenly, the alleged creature runs across the road from left to right, appearing to hold a long stick in its right hand (see image below).

It hasn’t been revealed if the biker was male or female, but the video gives the impression that he or she was startled at the sight of the creature, causing the driver to crash into some bushes. The person then turned the bike around and went back in the direction he/she came from.

So far, comments on the YouTube page that features the video include:

“I think as it’s normally them doing loud noises to startle humans, this time it got frightened by the noise of the bike and ran right across the path in a panic! I’d turn around and go in the opposite direction too!”

“What I find amazing is the reaction of the person riding the bike. It’s a clear indication he/she was really startled because they basically crashed into the bushes. Why would you react like that it it’s a fake?”

Among the questions raised are: Who took the video? Why hasn’t that person written any kind of detailed encounter report? And why didn’t he or she make any startled sounds during the brief incident?

This wasn’t the only recent Bigfoot sighting in Ohio. According to 10TV News, there have been dozens of reports and footprints found in the Buckeye State.

I’m glad this article raises the same questions that I do whenever I see these videos. There are moments when the bike engine sound cuts out. So why can’t you hear any reaction from the biker? And honestly, the biker did not look startled, and he didn’t “crash” into the bushes. It sort of looks like that’s what he/she wanted the viewers to think, but it was done in a very safe way. Thanks to Jeff for submitting this story!

“Most Convincing Evidence of Bigfoot” Yet?

June 14th, 2011 No comments

Ugh, here we go again. From Loren Coleman’s blog Cryptomundo comes news that some amazing Bigfoot evidence is about to be revealed, and they are claiming that it will be the “most convincing evidence of Bigfoot” since the Patterson-Gimlim footage. So why am I not too excited? Read the press release below to see why (and just as Loren Coleman did, I’m leaving in the bad spelling and grammatical errors).

For Immediate Release

*********** MEDIA ADVISORY**********

Potentially the Most Convincing Evidence of Bigfoot Since the Patterson Film of 1967

We have an full upper body impression including half of its face On the passenger side window of a pickup truck

And on the drivers side window, the Nostrils, Nose and Lips of a Bigfoot

Who: World Media – Please RSVP to SangerParanormal@aol.com

What: No, it’s not a Bigfoot in a Freezer and we are not affiliated with those guys in any way. This evidence was captured during an expedition in the High
Sierra’s of California during the Memorial Day weekend of 2011. There were a total of 5 people in attendance who made the discovery. Three of those people

2. Correctional Officer for 19 years and is Employed at a prison in California. Was featured on a Episode of Monster Quest titled” the Sierra Sasquatch”.

3. Is a Employe at AT&T Telephone. Associates Degree in Electronics. Founder of the www.SangerParanormalSociety.com

Also, a 14 year Forensic Specialist who is friends with 2 of the people mentioned above was called out to come and take photos and swab For DNA……

This location where the evidence was captured is known for heavy Bigfoot activity And has been regularly visited by the investigators mentioned above.

Best image I could find of Bigfoot on glass.

Now this is a pretty lofty claim. The Patterson-Gimlin footage is some of the best visual evidence yet for the existence of Bigfoot, and yet the scientific community at large still isn’t convinced, and perhaps rightly so. A film alone is not “proof,” just part of a bigger tapestry of evidence supporting these claims. So color me unimpressed by this “breaking news” of some smudges on a pickup truck window that kinda sorta look like half of a Bigfoot face. These investigators may be earnest. They may believe that this is a Bigfoot face. But I’m guessing what they are seeing is just matrixing. Matrixing happens all the time. People see faces in photos where there is just a random pattern. People see shapes in clouds. People see Jesus in their French toast. The brain tries to make order out of chaos. And if you are Bigfoot hunting and looking for evidence of Bigfoot, and see some random smudges that look like the very thing you are hunting, well, there you go. The smudges are probably just random smudges, but perhaps an animal such as a bear, elk, or other wet-nosed animal was curious and left these smudges. Or maybe it was indeed a Bigfoot. But smudges do not equal proof. Unless these guys have something spectacular that they didn’t mention in the press release (say, a dead body that isn’t in a cooler), then this will end up as just another sad chapter in cryptozoology.

North Carolina man says he’s got video of Bigfoot

March 24th, 2011 3 comments

And here we go again with another supposed video of Blobsquatch. I mean Bigfoot. The video is posted below, and I have to say that the gait of this thing looks pretty fake, like a man in a suit walking too fast, and you really can’t make out much except for the legs. This may very well be Bigfoot, but as far as evidence goes, it’s pretty poor. From MSNBC:

bigfoot, sasquatch, knobby

The elusive Bigfoot? Or an unusually tall Ewok?

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A Shelby, N.C. man says he has captured video of Bigfoot.

Thomas Byers e-mailed WCNC NewsChannel 36 in Charlotte, N.C., saying he saw Bigfoot walk across Golden Valley Church Road in Rutherford County Tuesday evening. Byers’ says he was about 15 to 20 feet away from the creature when he captured a five-second video.

“It ran across the road and into the woods right in front of us and I was able to film it,” Byers wrote. “In the short video you can hear it snarl or growl at me.”

Furthermore: “One thing I know is the smell of it was horrid. It smelled like a cross between road kill and a skunk. And it did not like the fact that I was there on the road with it. In the video you can hear it snarl or growl at me as it crosses the road.”

To read Byers’ personal account of the sighting, visit http://hubpages.com/t/2292b4.

What do you think? Bigfoot or not?

The snarl that the supposed Bigfoot utters isn’t all that impressive either. I just wish that more of the video was shown (before and after this clip), and obviously a cleaner, brighter image would be great. I’m sure somebody out there will clean it up soon, and hopefully we can get a clearer picture of what this thing is.

Light streak in Columbia Theatre photo likely wasn't a ghost

October 1st, 2009 No comments

Occasionally you hear interesting stories of potential evidence of paranormal activity caught inadvertently.  This past week a story came out of Washington state about an odd photo taken during the Columbia Theatre’s renovation. The story describes the strange situation surrounding the photograph, as well as simultaneously debunking it.  Interestingly, the editors at the newspaper seemed depressed that the story was debunked so easily.

Awkwardly, it seems as though the paper “teased” its readers with evidence of a local haunting, only to have it debunked before the story went to press:

Deflated, the reporter told her editors Monday the story was dead.

“Nobody’s saying those lights are ghosts, so there’s nothing to write,” she told them, a little horrified because the story that hadn’t panned out had already been promoted to readers. The editors shrugged, saying sometimes that happens.

Oops! Well it’s good to keep in mind that most photographs can be debunked, especially if they involve longer exposures – one thing I’ve learned as a budding photographer is that cameras pick up things like light and color in darkness that the human eye can’t see. To me, looking at the photograph, it almost looks like someone quickly shined a flashlight, or there was a reflection from behind the photographer, and during the two second exposure it may not have been noticeable to the naked eye, but, as well all know, the camera never lies…
