One IGA supermarket in Brompton, Australia is feeling the cold chills this week after capturing what they feel is paranormal activity on three of the store’s surveillance cameras.

VooJuice: A tropical witch-doctor who loves to put curses on his prey. The TV ads in the UK & down under for Fruit Winders (roll ups) showed a fruit with a face being "winded" by a villain.

The footage shows a box of fruit roll ups being flung from one aisle over, through the bow tie pasta, into its neighboring aisle. This occurrence is purported to have happened at 11:30PM after the store has closed and is not the first of its kind. A similar incident supposedly occurred with a pack of digestive biscuits. Shoppers at the store also report a heavy atmosphere in the store.

My guess is that it’s just the spirit of crazy old VooJuice all bent out of shape cause he couldn’t find the roll ups with the tongue tattoos. Either that or he was mad because all they had in stock was strawberry flavor, which cuts up your tongue like Sour Patch Kids if you suck on them too long. I could be wrong though.

The current owner of the store was warned when he bought the store a little over a year ago that it was haunted. Some speculate that these mysterious events could be linked to the death of world-famous boxer Bora Altintas, who was shot in front of the store in 1998. A bullet hole from the attack is still visible inside the phone booth where Altintas was shot. Others claim that the video is a fake, generated to publicize the supermarket and drum up business. Whatever the case, with 90,000+ views, IGA’s security footage has gone viral and viewers are eager to believe.

The Adelaide Paranormal Detectives have been called in to verify the footage and investigate the store. At this time, the team believes the video to be genuine and thinks they may have gotten some EVP phenomena, but in the absence of definitive proof their search is still classified as an ongoing investigation. They have not yet been able to recreate the video, claiming that the box bounces in the video where as they can only get it to land flat.

With all the recent stories of weird things happening in Russia (alien bodies, Yeti being captured, etc.), you’ll pardon me if I’m a bit skeptical of this story. Ultimately, it’s just another anecdote, an interesting story but with nothing to support the claims.

Is it just me or does this look like one of those cheesy UFO toys from the 1950s?

A metal object the size of a Volkswagen Beetle has been discovered near a remote village in Siberia. Local residents presumed it recently fell to Earth from space, but officials from Russia’s space agency examined the object and said it “is not related to space technology.”

Locals discovered the roughly 200-kilogram (440 pounds) object, which is cylindrical and capped on one end by a ridged dome, March 18 in the forest near the village of Otradnesnky. They attached the “UFO fragment” (as media outlets have called it) to a trailer and dragged it through the snow to their village. They then alerted Moscow authorities, according to a report in Britain’s The Telegraph, and the object was confiscated for inspection.

Following the initial examination, an official for Roscosmos, the Russian space agency, reportedly said: “The object found is not related to space technology. A final conclusion can be made after a detailed study of the object by experts.”

Part of the fragment is made of titanium, according to district officials. Additional tests showed it was not radioactive.

Nick Johnson, head of NASA’s orbital debris office, said there isn’t sufficient information about the object for him to make a full assessment, but it doesn’t appear to be part of a spacecraft.

“The object almost certainly is not related to a spacecraft,” Johnson told Life’s Little Mysteries. “It also does not look like part of a launch vehicle which has fallen from orbit.  However, we cannot be definitive in our judgment without better photos and other data. For example, the date the object fell is vitally important, but I did not see reference to it.”

It is also unclear whether the object really did fall from space or got lost in the woods by some other route.

This could be anything, from a hoax to a piece of space debris to some sort of secret, experimental military aircraft. It will be interesting to see if the results of the examination are ever released.

Yes folks, I do apologize. This is yet another “another ghost caught on camera?” post. (PS: the answer to the question is pretty much always no). Shockingly, this story is from Britain (cough cough so is every other story I’m doing lately!) and looks pretty fake from the get-go. There’s more than one popular “ghost capture” app out there for a multitude of phones…and more than one news outlet out there willing to cover hoaxes as truth (here’s a story about another one).

A GHOSTLY snapshot has sent chills down the spine of a Middlesbrough mum who fears her home could be haunted.

Sceptic Diane Toman is not one to jump to conclusions.

But the 42-year-old non-believer has been left baffled after an apparent apparition was caught on camera in her Percy Street terraced home.

And the spooky sighting has thoroughly shaken her daughter Cheryl, 21, who refuses to stay over at her mum’s home any more.

Diane, 42, a mum of three, said: “I’m not sure what it is. We think it’s a ghost.”

The picture was taken by Diane’s son, Matthew Toman, 19.

Diane, who was eating crisps at the time and does not smoke in the house, said: “My son bought a new phone and he was playing with it.

“Then, when he looked back at the photo, he said ‘look mum, look at that’.

“I was quite shocked.”

The image appears to show a skull shape on the wall behind Diane, who is also mum to Stephen Fawcett, 24, and has been living in the house for two-and-a-half years.

Another British paranormal news piece that I’m blogging about 90% because of the picture they article included (and 10% for the name of the pub). No shame. I also like the generic team name that is mentioned: the Paranormal Society. From The Halifax Courier:

GHOSTLY images have been included in a painting of a haunted town centre pub.

Dean Majors, landlord of Dirty Dick’s, commissioned the work which shows how the pub (formerly the Royal Oak) used to look.

An old image, which dates back to the 18th century, was used as the basis for the painting by Joy Edwards.

She lives in Sowerby Bridge and captured the old character of the pub and painted ghostly spirits looking out of windows.

The original building was pulled down in 1929 and rebuilt in mock-Tudor style using materials, including beams and panelling, from the wooden frigate HMS Newcastle which was built in 1860.

Three ghosts are connected to the pub.

Dean said by research and talking to old regulars he had been told the last landlord before the pub was demolished had a son who was killed after his party clothes were set alight by sparking embers from a pub fire.

And, around 40 years ago a woman reported seeing a Amish-style character walking about.

“She said what she saw was as clear as day,” said Dean.

The third ghost is linked to the ship and said to be that of someone killed on board while moving gunpowder.

Dean, who has run the pub since it reopened last year, said he had witnessed poltergeist activity.

That has included a glass jumping up off a shelf and smashing on the floor; a barrel jumping off the ground and cellar switches being mysteriously flicked.

“I have an open mind – but I think if things keep happening we will get the Paranormal Society in,” he said.

Dean said the painting had rekindled interest in the pub’s history.

Getting people who are alive to fill out census forms is hard enough, but that isn’t stopping one rogue “certified paranormal investigator” from trying to complete a census of every ghost in the world. That is assuming, of course, there would be no language barrier, that all ghosts are land ghosts (not sea ghosts), that there are no ghosts in space, and that, of course, ghosts exist and want to participate in a census. But this dude is certified so clearly he knows what he’s doing.

"I could have sworn I left my ghost detector right next to my submarine with the screen doors!"

Poland’s only officially registered ghost hunter has accused the spirit world of giving up on mankind – and he wants a census to check his theory that there are fewer spirits bothering to stay and haunt people.

Piotr Shalkevitz, 40, from Chrzanow, Poland, who has spent tens of thousands of pounds on the best paranormal detection equipment from the US, believes it might be because they have given up trying to warn people to prepare for the afterlife.

He said: “Maybe they think we aren’t worth saving, and they have given up trying to tell us whatever it was they wanted us to know.

“It might also be that people just aren’t bothered, they see so much on the TV and they just rationalise it all away. They have become immune to messages from beyond.”

Now frustrated Piotr, who became Poland’s only officially registered full-time ghost buster three years ago, has issued a plea to his fellow countrymen for a census of ghosts to monitor the population. But he also wants global ghost busters to contact him about their local spooks.

He said: “We need to have a record of where the ghosts are haunting, and only then can we really monitor if numbers are falling. If there is no record in the first place we have nowhere to start.

“If someone suspects paranormal activity, I have a 24-hour hotline. Call me and I’ll be there.”
