SyFy Channel’s new “Bigfoot” movie to star a Brady and a Partridge
In what I’m sure will come as a shock to many, the SyFy Channel is making a new horror movie starring some ex-celebrities who are desperately trying to cling to fame. In the new movie “Bigfoot,” which since it’s on the SyFy Channel I can only assume to be about Bigfoot fighting some giant hybrid shark-octopus-dinosaur-alligator creature, TV’s Greg Brady will face off against Danny Partridge in trying to capture the elusive creature. Excited yet? I know I am.
(RTTNews.com) – “Twin Peaks” star Sherilyn Fenn has reportedly signed on to appear in a new made for television movie on SyFy Network called “Bigfoot.” Fenn joins an impressive cast of television stars for the thriller, which will also boast a guest appearance by shock rock legend Alice Cooper.
Bruce Davidson will man the helm for the new project, which will also star Danny Bonaduce (“The Partridge Family”), Barry Williams (“The Brady Bunch”), Howard Hesseman (“Head of the Class”), Andre Royo (“The Wire”).
In an official statement, SyFy Network summarizes the film’s plot saying: “When Bigfoot is discovered in South Dakota, two life-long rivals [Williams and Bonaduce] battle to capture the creature — one to exploit it and one to save it.”
“Bigfoot” will premier on SyFy sometime in 2012.
I probably will actually watch this movie. I mean, how can I not? I actually liked Howard Hesseman on “Head of the Class” and even back in his days on “WKRP in Cincinnati.” I pretty much grew up on “The Brady Bunch” and “The Partridge Family,” and actually met Danny Bonaduce years ago on the subway, when he had his radio show here in New York City, and he was a very cool guy. Alice Cooper is always awesome. And Sherilyn Fenn? Quite hot on “Twin Peaks.” So I kid, celebs, I kid. I mean, the movie will be just awful, I know. But I still must watch.
